2027-2029 Hunting Season Setting - Public Scoping Survey
Every three years, the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) conducts an in-depth rule-making process to review and update hunting regulations. This survey is your opportunity to share feedback on potential changes. Your input—along with biological data, staff expertise, and Tribal input—will help inform recommendations to the Fish and Wildlife Commission and the Director during the rulemaking process for the 2027-2029 hunting seasons.
What to expect:
Time to complete: ~10–15 minutes
Scoping Topics: There are 12 topics you may give comments on
Who should participate: Anyone interested in Washington’s Game species management and associated hunting seasons
How we’ll use your feedback: To identify priorities, evaluate options, and refine proposals for Director or Commission decision
Privacy: Responses are part of the public record; please avoid including personal sensitive information
How to Participate in the Survey:
1. Begin the Survey: Click on 'BEGIN SURVEY' to start the process.
2. Review Scoping Topics: After starting, you will be guided through a series of scoping topics.
3. Share Your Perspective: For each topic, provide your insights or opinions in the designated input fields.
4. Skip if Unnecessary: If you don’t have anything to contribute on a particular topic, simply select 'CONTINUE' to proceed.
5. Submit Your Responses: Once you reach the last topic, don’t forget to submit your responses by October 31, 2025. Thank you for your participation!
